Our Mission...The mission of the County Collaborative Group for Help Me Grow in Richland County is to provide a coordinated child and family-centered effort for children birth to three with developmental delays or environmental or biological risks through identification, referral, assessment, parent education and health services.We will educate the public and local agencies about developmental expectations and positive parenting and make it possible for every child and his/her family to receive evaluation and follow-up services regardless of cultural or economic circumstances. We will promote intervention within the natural activities and routines of children and their families. Because we believe in and support family involvement, we will work collaboratively with parents and local agencies and strive to ensure that each child in our country reaches his/her maximum potential. |

Newborn Home Visits...A home visit to all newborns and their mother is offered. The nurse assesses the health and well being of the newborn and mother and makes all necessary referrals. The nurse assures that the family has access to a medical provider for both mother and infant and may assist in making an appointment. Education and informational materials are in the Newborn Home Visit packet given to each mother. |
